--Aero Valley POA BOD Meeting. May 13, 2025/1900. 104 Lindberg Dr. At the marquee sign, as you enter the airport. See Property Owners/Agenda for the proposed agenda. (96 hours prior.)
-Oncor has begun construction on a 345kv transmission line that will run parallel to TX 1171 and located 2700' north of the approach end of Runway 17. Support towers are planned to be approximately 146' AGL and will be located near, but offset, to a normal approach path to RUNWAY 17. Depictions of the proposed construction can be viewed here and here. The POA has contacted Oncor and is requesting the addition of aerial marker balls on the lines.
--Negotiations continue between the POA BOD and the property owners off the south end of Runway 35 concerning the trimming of the trees off the south end. The POA's initial proposal for a complete clearway for the approach to Runway 35 was rejected. The current proposal of a thinning of that area is under negotiation. The proposed trimming will be a commercial project funded by the POA.
