 --Missed you at the Dogs of May! Great turnout. Look for the next airport community event! 

--Oncor has begun construction on a 345kv transmission line that will run parallel to TX 1171 and located 2700' north of the approach end of Runway 17.   Support towers are planned to be approximately 146' AGL  and will be located near, but offset, to a normal approach path to RUNWAY 17.  Depictions of the proposed construction can be viewed here and here.  The POA has contacted Oncor and is requesting the addition of aerial marker balls on the lines.

--Following the Texas Property Code, Section 209, the POA has served notice to the property owner responsible for the storage containers that have been placed in Row 3 of the Northwest  quadrant.  The containers are a clear violation of the uniform deed restrictions adopted by the owners in 2019.  The revised deed restrictions are available on this site.  The next step will be obtaining  court action  authorizing the BOD to have the containers removed, and stored, at the offending owner's expense.  The BOD is in the legal process of accomplishing that.

--The volunteer webmaster of this site is requesting your help in the construction and operation of this site.  Comments/criticism/suggestions are encouraged.  Pictures of locally based airplanes are welcome.  And updates/additions to the Community Section are encouraged.  Aviation milestones will be gladly shared as well as recognizing the passing of members of our community.  Take pics and send them, attention webmaster, along with  appropriate identifying info.
